StarFlint The Blackhole Prophecy – New Adventure Game Seeks Funding on Kickstarter

StarFlint: The Blackhole Prophecy is a beautifully animated point and click adventure game that is currently looking for funding on Kickstarter. Being developed by Stunmason Games, StarFlint is currently half-way through their Kickstarter campaign and is still in need of funds.

StarFlint follows protagonist Flint, a regular nobody who dreams big but does little about it after he saves a space pirate named Trixie, who is wanted by the Order, a group of space police. Set in an expansive hand drawn galaxy, StarFlint promises to be a humorous journey with a large dose of aliens, sex, and violence.

It is being planned as one complete installment instead of an episodic series, which has been a familiar trope for these kinds of games in recent years. The studio wants to develop a game where player choices affect the world around you. Your choices may affect how NPCs feel about you, which can change future dialogue options and will affect the game’s overarching storyline.

The plan for the game is to include between 40 to 60 NPCs that you can interact with, 60 fully animated backgrounds, and multiple endings. The studio also plans on making every area in the game fully interactive, rewarding players that poke and prod everything on screen.

From initial screenshots and footage the game has a beautiful cartoon feel to it and seems heavily influenced by classic point and click games like The Curse of Monkey Island and Day of The Tentacle.

The game will initially launch for PC and Mac in both English and French, with more platforms and languages following depending on the amount of support. The current plan is to have an alpha build completed by winter 2016, with a full release the following spring.

Stunmason Games has made a short trailer for StarFlint: The Blackhole Prophecy, which you can watch below. If you’re interested you can donate or learn more about the Kickstarter campaign by clicking here.
