Imaginarium Studios and FoxNext Games have confirmed the fall release of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, a narrative adventure game based on the rebooted Planet of the Apes film franchise.
In this tale of conquest, betrayal, and survival, two worlds collide as the precarious existence of a tribe of apes and a band of human survivors hangs in the balance. Set between the films Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes, Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier promises an immersive, cinematic experience where the player’s decisions have an effect on the tenuous line between peace and war.
Giving gamers the chance to play both sides of the struggle for survival between humans and apes, the game hopes to bestow a deep understanding of the motivations, hopes, and fears of both species. Destiny rests in the player’s hands, whether moving toward a fragile, strained semblance of peace, or a bloody, apocalyptic conflict.
The premier performance capture studio for film, television, and video games, Imaginarium Studios was founded by motion capture actor Andy Serkis, who is best known for his award-winning portrayal of Gollum in the Lord of the Rings film franchise, as well as his performance as Caesar in the rebooted Planet of the Apes series.
FoxNext Games seeks exceptional titles and publishing partners across mobile, console, and computing platforms, releasing titles such as Family Guy: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, The Simpsons Tapped Out, Ice Age Adventures, and Alien: Isolation.
Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One consoles sometime this autumn.
