OnlySP had a chance to sit down with Warhorse Studios, the team behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s development, in a hands-on demo of the game.
During that demo, the team revealed the game’s release date to all press attending the preliminary presentation that featured the cinematic trailer released at the end of last week. While the developer requested that certain assets and information is held back for a few more days, Warhorse gave the go ahead for all press to relay Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s release date. Coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be available on February 13, 2018. Deep Silver will handle publication and distribution.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a first-person, single-player, open-world RPG set in Medieval Bohemia. The game is driven by a realistic, non-linear story in order to ensure the highest level of immersion. The game will also include side quests with multiple solution options, a dynamic AI system, and stunning graphics. The story is based on true historical events, with characters based on real-life historical figures, with fictionalized names. Players will take control of Henry, the son of a blacksmith, whose peaceful life is shattered when a mercenary raid—ordered by King Sigismund—burns his village to the ground. Henry is one of the sole survivors of the raid and sets out on a quest for vengeance by serving Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against King Sigismund’s invasion.
Warhorse Studios is a Czech video game developer based in Prague, Czech Republic. The company was founded on August 31, 2011. The team is comprised of members who have experience working on games such as Mafia, Operation Flashpoint, ArmA, Crysis 3, Forza Horizon, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
