Super Cloudbuilt, an expanded version of 2014’s fast-paced parkour-based platformer, will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One next month.
Publisher Double Eleven has announced that the new title will be available on PC and PS4 on July 25, with the Xbox One version following on July 28. Those who choose to pre-order the game for PS4 will receive exclusive early access to a demo that includes the tutorial, first three levels, and a practice arena called the Playground. Whether these bonuses will be shared with pre-orders for the other platforms is not yet clear.
Super Cloudbuilt puts players in control of Demi, an exo-suit-powered soldier capable of incredible feats of parkour platforming. As the game progresses, Demi will discover more about the mysterious world that she finds herself in, with players able to unlock multiple endings. The gameplay focuses on lightning-fast platforming that also challenges players to defeat enemies as they go, as can be witnessed in the announcement trailer below:
For this re-release (which brings the game to console for the first time) the developers at Coilworks have remastered the experience, including altering some of the game’s mechanics and providing a visual overhaul that helps the cel-shaded graphics to stand out more than they did on the original release. In addition, Super Cloudbuilt will package in the earlier title’s DLC expansions, resulting in a vast amount of content.
Players will have access to three game modes (Story, Ranked, and Rush mode), and 177 challenges spread across six different categories. Although Super Cloudbuilt is a single player-only experience, the game does incorporate leaderboards.
