Blizzard Entertainment has announced the release date for the heavily-anticipated ‘Rise of the Necromancer’ update for its popular hack-and-slash, action-RPG Diablo III.
Starting June 27, 2017, players will have access to the new Necromancer class, which will be available for USD$15 once patch 2.6.0 goes live. The update will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The Necromancer was a fan-favorite from Diablo II, and will be playable in both Diablo III’s campaign and adventure mode. The pack will include a little more than the new class, such as a non-combat pet, cosmetic wings, and other aesthetic additions that offer some more personalization to the game.
Regardless of whether or not a player purchases the new pack to receive access to the Necromancer, new content will be available in the form of dungeons. This content comes free with patch 2.6.0 for those who own the ‘Reaper of Souls’ expansion. The content includes new zones, the Realms of Fate, and Challenge Rifts.
